   amazing photo. I had humming birds at my house in California and did everything I could to keep them visiting.

   I once held a humming bird on my finger for almost a minute. It was amazing to get such a close up look.

   A few years back a hummingbird hit the window in my kitchen. When I went outside to check on him I was sure he was a goner, but luckily he was just a little dazed. I held him in my hand till he composed himself and I set him on the ledge of a feeder and he sat there for a good 5 minutes. It was a once-in-a-lifetime thing. They are such extraordinary and beautiful birds. =)

    Looks like a male Rufous hummingbird we have loads of them up here in Victoria BC canada

    Hummingbirds are beautiful and good for helping to pollinate.

    i was in new mexico about amonth ago was on sandia mountain ,there were humingbirds everywhere’they were big birds about three inches long. beautiful

    I think it is the Kingfisher bird .
